The Choice, civil rights martial artist. I came up with the name because I wanted something that evoked the simplicity of 'Question'. I liked the idea of a verb as a name. I didn't intend for her name to evoke the Pro-Choice movement but I never minded it either. It seems sometimes that society really hates the freedom to chose who you marry, who you love, what you beleive or what you want to do with your own body. Choice, being an African American woman who kicked butt, seemed to really embody the concept of being free to chose.

The blue outfit was supposed to imply that she literally one day decided to fight crime on her way to the gym. It was meant to imply simple gym clothes with slight alterations. The gold fist symbol really brought across the civil rights attitude I wanted. The red boots were a lucky accident. The banded look of her boots made her feet look like she was kicking with brass knuckles for her calves.
